Food Glorious Food!!!
Well what a month. It has been a slow start getting back into the fundraising mode, making me slightly concerned about how I will manage to raise the £1500 to go to Chennai this year. I know I will do it and it is a day like today that helps me realise this.
“Since you get more joy out of giving joy to others, you should put a good deal of thought into the happiness that you are able to give.”
— Eleanor Roosevelt
There are some amazing people in the world who are so generous and giving and today I experienced human generosity at it’s greatest! A colleague of mine offered to spend a day of her week off preparing, delivering and serving our workplace with 2 curries, rice, samosas, nann bread etc. Sunitha definately prepared a feast and all without excepting any help with cooking or buying ingredients.
In her words it was her contribution to the work Chennai Challenge will be doing in India.
How amazing that a busy mother of two would take so much time and effort to lovingly prepare an outstanding amount of food and then deliver it.
This month has definately been a month of food. I started it with making 30 cupcakes to sell at work following a course providing me with some new skills in cake decorating.
I also made a giant cupcake for my sister’s colleagues last day at work.
Not a bad month so far at all. Now to continue the hard work.
